Harry Potter theme toys designed by Merle's Creations ZA

Lockdown has brought some interesting special requests my way and the Harry Potter theme toys have been a lot of fun to make.

I design from scratch with photographs and drawings for reference, make the toy and then refine the design to allow for the behaviour of the fabric and to improve any details for more character.

Here I share this arduous process! Make and remake, there is always room for improvement! Lastly, the acid test, ask a child who or what is this, gauge the enthusiasm of the response, and perhaps, back to the drawing board!

My golden rule is that each toy must be baby-safe, washable and delightful.
